Enjoy lodges request to exit Casino Gran Los Ángeles in Chile

Enjoy’s three-year notice of withdrawal follows its exit from another three Chilean casinos
Latin American operator Enjoy has notified Chile’s securities regulator (CMF) that it no longer wants to operate the Casino Gran Los Ángeles in the country’s Bío-Bío region.
The operator has filed a request with the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego to relinquish that licence, with the formal disclosure being confirmed in a shareholders’ meeting held the same day. The move has been filed under the three-year advance-notice mechanism set out in a Supreme Decree of 2015.
The resignation needs approval from the Superintendencia’s Consejo Resolutivo before it takes effect, and even if approved, it won’t come into effect until three years after the authorising resolution is published in the Diario Oficial, Chile’s government gazette. Enjoy was explicit that, in the meantime, Casino Gran Los Ángeles continues operating normally, fully bound by its existing legal and regulatory obligations, including its committed economic offer payment for the duration of that transition window.
The withdrawal is Enjoy’s fourth such move in roughly a year. Following two rounds of judicial reorganisation, the Superintendencia’s Consejo Resolutivo authorised three earlier resignation requests from Enjoy in August 2025, covering Casino de la Bahía in Coquimbo, Casino del Lago in Pucón and Casino del Mar in Viña del Mar. Those three concessions have already gone back out to tender this year with mixed results that speak to the broader difficulty the licensing process has had generating competitive interest. Viña del Mar’s tender generated no interest, while Coquimbo and Pucón each drew only a single bidder. Interest has been lodged in Pucón’s by Enjoy-veteran-led Casino Volcán Pucón.
If the Los Ángeles resignation is approved, Enjoy will be left holding just three casinos in Chile: Antofagasta, Santiago and Castro, a considerable contraction for an operator that was, until recently, one of the dominant names across Chile’s land-based casino map.
The timing places this squarely alongside two other threads already running in Chile’s gaming press: the SCJ’s own leadership vacancies at a moment when its mandate is set to expand into online betting oversight, and industry-wide revenue figures showing land-based casino income down 20 per cent and visits down nearly 30 per cent over seven years. Enjoy’s continued retreat is arguably the clearest single data point behind those aggregate numbers. The legacy operator is restructuring its physical footprint down to a fraction of its former scale, whilst former Enjoy executives reposition themselves as new entrants competing for those same licences.
